“Of the total 720 marks, he scored 100 which constitutes just 13.88 percentage. A student who has obtained just 13.88 per cent has become a doctor. This scenario is not just prevalent in Punjab but across the country, including in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
While introducing NEET, the Central government claimed that the test would produce quality doctors but if a student who obtained 13.88 percentage marks can become a doctor it shows that the claim does not hold any merit, Anbumani claimed.
“As the reasons given by it have failed, the Centre should consider revoking NEET. If it fails to do so, the State government should file a special petition in Supreme Court in this regard,” he demanded.
